Architect's statement
"The residential complex of family and apartment buildings, on the site of a former warehouse complex – a brownfield – right in the center of the village of Miškovice, was a great challenge for us. We designed a new village center with apartment buildings and public space – a square. Once completed, the new square will also be the transport hub of the village, as there will be the terminus stop of the suburban electric bus line. The combination of a public transport stop, housing and new retail areas in the ground floor of the buildings will create the necessary synergy of a lively public space.
Following the apartment buildings located along Polabská Street is development of terraced family houses and semi-detached houses. The new residential streets logically connect to the existing development; we connected and logically linked pedestrian routes and passages through the area. The development consists of several layout types of family houses, which are sensitively placed in the overall urban design. This creates the desired diversity and variability of the development. At the same time, however, the entire residential complex will retain a unified character of architecture, materials and details – a strong genius loci"
